12s?
it will not make that big of a difference on a stock car im sorry not even my car would a h/e make a life altering change, meth maybe with a sweet tune yes, but just a h/e no way in hell
you are just being riduculous now. and saying I don't know how to drive is funny. I was having problems with launching at the track. I know how to launch now. I limited the boost in 1st gear and solidified my motor mounts which helped me get better traction. I have vids of me outlaunching wrx's and eclipse gsx's. I know how to drive. everytime I go to the track, I run extremely consistent. My mph is the same and Unless I change my launch my e.t's remain the same.
Oh, and engine mounts allow you to put more power to the ground as well. So you will be making a bit more Wheel Power with mounts.
and I'm sold on a h/e upgrade being a power mod. I proved it. Maybe if you try it you'll see the same effects I saw. Until you try it, I don't think you have any ground to stand on. I already proved it. Prove me wrong.

just for a good laugh, what kinda 60's are you cutting?
wow, you are not nearly as intelligent as i actually thought you were. you are outlaunching gsx's and wrx's? lmao, were you racing drivers with one leg? you said yourself you arent good at launching, so adding mods to your car to make it easier to launch does not make you a better driver, it makes the car easier to drive. everytime you go to track you dont exactly run very quickly if 14.4@101 is your best with those mods. you have still proved absolutely nothing

these are all vs a 1g awd gsx

these are vs a 02/03 wrx

here is one where I actually fucked up my launch

here are some pics of the gsx and the wrx

those launches are called lots of practice. I probably couldn't do that right now if I wanted to as I haven't even driven my car in over a month now. Too much snow around here. I'm commuting to work in my tribeca.

I know what both parties are trying to say and you know what, according to your god send HPT ralli is correct. Oh, and time plays 0 in how much horsepower you are putting out zero zip nothing. Your mph tells you more about engine power improvements than time will. Ralli gaining 5mph and .2 in the 1/4 says a ton. The car is making more power!!!! You are a retard if you think otherwise. A stock cobalt SS heats up significantly on a SINGLE 1/4 mile run causing reduced timing and less power. WOW. you have HPT, do it, go and watch your IAT2's. He has already proved it.
Question: If I want to drive like a tard, why on street tires can I drive my Camaro to a 14.XXX and trap 115mph???? Then, on the same tires, with no changes to the car except I want to drive better I can run a 11.8 @ 116mph????? WTF??? how did I make all this extra power???? Because according to some of you cutting ralli's time the .2 diff in 1/4 mile time means everything and the 5 mph means nothing. Soooo, my car from the 14.XXXX must have only made 200hp and then by some miracle, made over 500 the next pass running 11.8.
sorry for the rant, but some of you really talk out of your asses.
PS.... HPT is wrong on injector DC. Ralli, if your up to it, I will PM you the correct time for static on stock and 42lb injectors for your tuning for spring.

Trap can be infalted from one day to the next im not going to take the time to explain it, but if its colder, he has a worse 60ft things tend to add up a little on the trap side.
hey anom- I did the same exact thing you are doing axles, dr, and mounts my fastest time was a 13.9@106.3 Just wanna say be careful cuz my tranny went shortly after
Just be careful if there is such a thing.
Just be careful if there is such a thing.
Just wanted to add some advice. I would have engine mount but not sure if tranny mounts are a good idea. With the DR's on your going to hook hard and those LSJ tranny's just can't handle it. I don't really care what people say I know because I have had my tranny out and in and had a profes. race tranny guy look at the tranny. Racing Clutch, Tranny Mounts, DRs, and more then stage II power = hard on the tranny.
I agree. I ran a 13.6 without DRs without downpipe, without header, without mounts, without some other odds and ends. Soon as you add more power its danger zone for tranny with hard launches. I have had our trannys apart and I have seen a freinds took let loose and crack the case. He has the exact same mods as me. Kind of scary.

yea, sorry about ruining the thread anom. At least it was a good arguement. I hope you hit your 12's though and I think you will. I pray that nothing breaks and you hit your goals. GOOD LUCK and show everyone what the ss is capable of!

I know him personally and know that the H/E aftermarket mod is a power mod. I even did the mod to my SS/SC. This mod caused lower temperatures with the Supercharger, which caused less heat soak and more power gain. It was not a huge gain, but I would have to say a gain of 5 mph in his trap speed is proof right there.
And Rippin07 you even said your self:"A stock cobalt SS heats up significantly on a SINGLE 1/4 mile run causing reduced timing and less power." You are correct, so why do you add the HE? TO STOP LOOSING POWER THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE!
Jesus you guys just don't get it. He soak causes POWER LOSS fixing heat soak will keep you from LOOSING POWER due to getting hot. This does not mean more power for the 500th time, it means your car will keep its power longer due to 1 more coolant and 2 the heat exchanger! If you really think that I am sorry to say but you are with out a doubt DUMB. Hell ralliartist when you put those new tires on you should pick up another 20-30 HP huh.

Do you RBC believe anom will hit 12's or not?
your 1-2 shift has a lot to do with it too powerz. even though you had an ok 60ft., you may have spun a considerable amount during your 1-2 shift. With those tires anom will be using, he shouldn't break a tires loose on the 1-2 shift.

you quote all about HPT, but your completely wrong.
I already gave the numbers in this thread, and you STILL try and use it as some sort of proof?
Go and look at your IAT2 vs spark advance table, and then come back and talk.
as long as your car stays below 140* IAT2, cooling mods arent going to help you nearly as much as you seem to think.
Unless you think 1-3* of timing is worth 30+hp?
Damn, every thread turns into an arguement... anyways you will see an increase in vibrations w/ the mounts which I'm sure you prob allready figured. It will settle down a little after a while though. Either that or I've just gotten used to it lol
