wow all you guys are lame that are calling b/s on brad's mod!!! Me and brad always raced stock vs. stock and we were always exactly even,

when he did his motor mounts, he pulled on me by about a half a bumper...

and when he did his heat exchanger he pulled on me by about a half car!!! we've raced alot more than once, and the outcome is always the same!!

We proved that the heat exchanger is a power mod, and a cooling mod!!!

And don't ever say he dosn't know how to drive because i've seen him drive, he's ******* amazing at how he can drive and launch his car...

The videos prove it!!!!!!

ROFL! a half a bumper! LMFAO. that is literally hilarious.

yes those 2.4 60s are a-freaking-mazing, so are his 14.4's! so let me get this right, he pulled 5mph out of his ass and hes only putting half a car on you? read a little deeper sunshine, NOONE has called bs on his mod, we called bs on his 5mph being due to an extra heat exchanger on a stock cobalt

and no the videos prove you guys know some terrible drivers

your an idiot son.

did you seriously just put motor mounts in your argument about how many car's he pulls?

your a joke, you probably think that more boost is always better too, huh?

in that case, I'll run ya man. I'm only at 16psi

no heat exchanger in the world cause's a power gain, its all about STOPPING power loss, once again here, your an idiot.

and to the OP, you gotta find some more power man, no way you'll touch 12's with trap's of 102.

your clearly on the correct track, but its time to start making power. the more traction, the less wheel spin, thus lower traps and this car doesnt come outta the hole well enough to rely on 60ft's and 1/8mi speed, the time will be made or lost in that last 1/8mi.

good luck none the less.

anamolous i do believe you can hit 12's with that traction setup and hopefully you can pick up the needed MPH with a wicked tune and racegas. your gonna need at least 106 and a great 60 though!

ok so 4 different drives all drive bad?? hmmm what are the odd's of that....

all im saying is i've ran brad alot of ******* times

and all im saying is that his motor mounts, and his heat exhchanger, pulls on me now!!!

idc what the **** you guys say, im just here to vouch for him, that his mods indeed make his car a little bit faster!!!

thanks man.
yeah i have a couple things that should bump me up.

zzp midlength header+downpipe
Cobra H/E
and some room to move on my tune. (just picked up my EGT gauge today, so that will help me see just what i have to work with)
i think those 3 things might squeeze a few more mph out of her.

my expectations are for consistant 13.2-13.4s, and hoping to dip lower with cooler conditions, and that perfect run.

id really love to be in the 12s on a 2.8 pully without spray. (at 3000ft no less!)
I dont think anyone has done that yet.

What would those numbers be at sea level?
Great work so far, i think you might be just able to squeeze it out.
Or maybe go to a track at sea level

my altitude adds about 2 or 3 10ths to my time

so technically i would have ran a 13.4 instead of 13.6

so if i run a 13.2 at my alt, it would be good for a 12 at sea level

i bet you could hit really low 13s and probably 12's on an early brisk day, im just afraid for your trans. After wheel hopping and seeing how my housing cracked to pieces (i get flashbacks now and then), please feather the clutch a little for my piece of mind. When the season comes that is, good luck, I'm also going after the TTR Mounts for my little guy.

Definitely would love to know more people hitting 12's, it gives hope for the rest of us.

if he can gain 3 tenths in the 60' then he can easily gain 6 tenths on the other end. those slicks should get him there. good luck make yourself an agressive tune for the track and see what happens

thats gonna be tough man, its always been done on 2.5cars because you need the extra torque to pull that time out.

you notice basically all the guys in or around 12s only used DRs though?
and all of them were at about 2.00 60fters?

heres some interesting numbers from my local SRT4 forum
guys with DRs
12.826 @ 112.03
12.745 @ 114.73
12.657 @ 109.51

guys with slicks
12.860 @ 102.66
12.785 @ 103.36
12.694 @ 106.99

now i know the slicks are gonna drop my MPH, but i just dont think anyone has really gotten the potential out of this car with slicks yet.
1.93 is the fastest 60ft we have seen so far.

this is true....hrmmmm......

vary good point my friend. none the less the 102 you had before wont get you a 102 with the snazzy new tires BUT you have a valid point. I still think you'll need some more go to offset them sticky SOB's but you wont have much to offset!!!

give it hell!!!

um to be honest with you i am not exactly sure because it was the at the same time i started running a different tune. just for reference this summer on the hot road power tour i trapped 105 on a 13.7 pass in 100+ air and 60% humidity with a like 2.1 or 2.2 60 becasue they didnt prep the track at all haha.

how much boost were you pulling before you did all this?

i think the reason i didnt lose many MPH (if any) is because i wasnt going WOT off the line on streets, and me being able to do that with the DR's helped nullify the loss due to extra traction. make sense?

gotcha.
im just hoping the addition of the cobra HE, and the header-downpipe will allow me to keep the few MPH i may lose from the slicks.

if thats the case i should be right where i want to be

so you arent currently pulling any boost in first? you know the HE will help you in 3rd when that heat really starts to build up, and the header should help out nicely, i can see 1-3mph in that
