1st time strip fail, any tips?
Ok so it was my first time out on the strip with having all the mods in my car. So I went expecting to be breaking into the 13s helmet and everything.. and couldnt put the power to the ground all through 1st gear! Ran only 3 times and didnt even break into 14s.. pretty disappointing to me. Soo thought id ask for some tips.
Im running a 2006 2.2L LS mods are as followed:
M62 w/2.9" pulley
42# injectors
CIA header
CIA downpipe 3"
CIA hiflo cat 3"
down to 2.5" piping 2 res.
front strut bar
Pedders springs
TC front struts
TC rear shocks
Spec stage 2+ clutch
Spec lightweight flywheel
hardcore rear swaybar
ZZP S3 H/E
opt b
225/45/17 BF goodrich KDW 2s
Front - 23psi Rear - 30psi
91 octane pump gas
Trifecta Tuned
my lowest time here was 2.4 60' at 94mph @15.2 spinning through first chirping in 2nd and 3rd.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRnU0...ature=youtu.be
Next mods new tranny w/LSD, steelies w/slicks. ETA qt mile?
How can I improve for next time?
My expectations to high?

From the sound of your initial launch. You need new transaxle mounts, and motor mount. My sudjestion is get these mods done before you do any other mods. I would also drop my tire pressure to 20 PSI. I was able to launch better with that pressure.

60' time sucks for 1. Trap speed sucks for 2.
Check and make sure the IC pump is actually working. If it isn't the IATs will be way high and it will pull all kinds of timing. I doubt the trifecta tune is junk but that could have something to do with it.
Regardless of your 60' it should still trap 105ish. I trapped 108 on a 2.9 and gm tune.

your trap speed is what my NA does with a K&N and a muffler. ran a 14.9. you should be going faster like said abouve, esp when youre spinning out of the hole. 60 ft needs to come down, how are you launching the car? 23 PSi seems to low for regular street tires, on your normal street tires i would run about 26-28 and throw about 45-50 in the rears.

The IC is brand new. So i know it works ill be installing dual pass before i go out again.
I did lower psi in front tires but didnt put not enough in the rear.
Wheel hop was very bad. I have a solid engine mount on already. Mounts will be installed with the dual pass.
I was launching at 2k rpm, just to much power. So next time i will probably try 2k half throttle then ease into it instead of mashing it. Lol.
Yeah first time out, i know ill do better next time.

compare with mine
just pratice, and shift faster. LSD wont help you.
inflate your rear tire to the max pressure.
3,1'', drag radial and no cooling mod = 2.04 13,8 @ 100 then bang!!

Just like I said Stephen.Drop to 18 psi.Do a nice burnout to get em warm and clean em off.Launch at ~2200 and only go 50% through out out 1st.goose it once you get to the top end and once you hit 2nd,hammer it.You need to work on your shifts. They need to be lightning fast.I managed 2.1 60"s all night with this method and my cars best is 13.4 @ 106.Trans mounts will help alot too.I have prothane solids.
I was also on a Michelin fuel economy tire
and its a 1 tire fire

Trifecta tuned.
Im going with your method next time! lol.
I also bought my tranny, I have tranny poly inserts too, so when i do the tranny swap they will be going in. As well as the LSD insert! no more 1 tire fires! yeah!
Ill do 105 octane lower psi in fronts and raised psi in rears. Give me till then end of the month and ill be ready to run you on the blacktop! lol.

Something is way out with the trap speeds, 94mph is very slow for your mods.
I would look into that before anything else, in a lot of instances, more traction off the line will decrease your trap speed.
For instance, I run 13.3 @ 99mph with 1.7 60's.
