Angry 1st time at the track

Well, I gave it a try. No matter what I tried I couldn't get good traction off the line. I am dissappointed with my times. Stock tires suck ass With more practice and slicks I think I could get in the mid - 13's like I should be in with my mods.

Here is my best run

R/T: 0.650
60 Foot: 2.346
330 Foot: 6.613
1/8 Mile: 9.991
1/8 MPH: 75.12
1000 FT: 12.72
1/4 Mile: 15.184 (On Stock Tires)
1/4 MPH:95.13

whats your elevation..??
don't beat yourself up, those times are respectable for a 1st time.
Think about shifting and how high your taking the revs.
I also think that with practice you could easily get mid 14's.

Elevation is 121 ft / 36 m. Temp was about 59 deg F

One of the guys at the track did mention that he noticed I was reving too high. What is the best RPM for each gear while at the track? I would shift between 6200 and 6700 PRM from second to third then to 4th.

true....take it as far as you can go without hitting the revlimiter...I've done it a few times and it'll wake you up.
I roll lauch...not sure if that makes sense, but I let it roll out and then feather the clutch out and floor it. I don't get good 60' times but I am consistently in the 14.5's @ 100+ mph and I don't shift into 4th until after the win light comes on.

wow, to be honest man, that's horrible times and traps. If you are only trapping 95mph, then you are no where near mid 13's. you def. need more practice!

I havent seen any stg kit dyno's yet , but I know on my dyno's my power curve is still climbing when it stops at 6500 . I would try shifting all your runs at 6800-6900 next time . And only hit 4th if you absolutely have too .

For the comment about "you shouldnt have to shift 4th " on mine , anytime I went over 100 mph I had to short shift 4th the last 10 or so feet or I woulda hit the rev limit in 3rd . I dunno if that applies witht he 7000 rpm limit in the staged pcms though

You shouldn't have too hit 4th gear at all! I got 200-300rpm left at the end of the track in 3rd gear I have never hit 4th with the ZZP 3" Pulley and STG 1 kit. Where did you run? I ran a 13.64@104mph with a 2.144 60ft at Cayuga or (Toronto Motorsport Park) on Sat.

Your 60 fts are't horrible but your 1/8 mile is and then it doesn't get any better. Werid.
Can you shift pretty fast?
