For the people who don't want to click...

I believe it's running a 7300rpm redline right now, but is built for much higher than that. MSD ignition and some other goodies. Check out his site at www.smgautosport.com. Fred is a good guy!

Seems like a lot of money to only run 14.13

I mean I see a lot of NA 1.8l Honda's that are faster.

But this is problably the fastest NA Ecotec I have heard of so congratulations(dang i can't spell) on that.

My buddy has a 2.0L Naturally Aspirated RSX-S that ran 13.7 @ 101 mph in Edmonton. Canada.

14.13 for a 2.2L ecotec isnt that impressive if u ask me.

If I looked at that car I would think it was running like 10s. I would be scared to run it. lol. and Im probably much faster than it. A acura rsx type s with intake header and exhaust will take it.

They're still working on it also, so they may not have found a top notch setup yet. Fred's good peoples and from what I hear they are coming up with some good products. Look for some pics and info from me soon enough on their springs.. Anywayz..I think those are pretty good times for an auto 2.2..

You're comparing a car that competes with the Cobalt SS and SS/SC with an auto 2.2 that come from the factory with quite a bit less hp and tq.

^^After I read that, it looked a little confusing..lol..I meant that you are comparing an RSX S with an Eco 2.2 auto that wasn't even in the same class stock for stock.

You guys need to read a little closer.... "BRACKET RACING!" meaning not all out speed just consistancy! DAMN! Runnin' 14s... with an auto, that is impressive!

im sorry but that is really not that impressive, and id like to see it in a combination of runs to see how consistent it is. auto is the easy way to consitency, not that there is anything wrong with that, but i would be far more impressed if he was running consistent with a stick. automatics are less impressive than any good stick driver period. why? duh... because there is far less chance of error, hence why they use them in bracket racing

Why you guys gotta hate? Damn a N/A 2.2 gets as fast as you and you guys sound like your getting all butt hurt!

Say congrates and move on! I mean come on its a factory 16 second car running a 14.13
bracket which means its probly capable of dipping into the 13's.

Stop the hate!

ok this is a ridiculous post.

1. im not hating on the guy, all i said was the exterior is way faster looking than it is, doesn't mean its not a good bracket car, hell a 25 second car can beat a 4 second car in bracket racing if its consistent
2. and why is everyone so shocked its an auto, tons of drag cars are auto, in fact most cars made for drag racing are autos. you know why? becuase they are way easier to drive and are usually far more consistent.
3. and how are you going to compare a car made specifically for drag racing to a bone stock $20,000 street car?
4. please show me where most people are running 14.4. most people seem to be running slower than that stock, with a small majority running 14.4 and below.

again not hating on the car and im glad we have this person as a supporter

Look... I am not tryin' to start no ****... yes I know autos are more consistant, yes I know they are easier to drive. But getting a 140 horse car runnin' 14s isn't that bad, really! Yes it is a little overkill on the whole rollcage and gutted interior, but come on he is doing something different with a car that very few people really gave a **** about! "OH LOOK ANOTHER CAVALIER!" Why does everyone got to give other people **** about everything! We all have a passion in cars and such, why can't we just give people props where they are due, instead of bustin' their ***** everytime someone does something YOU DON'T LIKE! Oh well it isn't your car! Get over it.............. PERIOD...............
