2010 Genesis
Alright I got in a agruement with a kid at work. He swears up and down that new genesis will walk on my car. All i said was lets race it then. I got a 08 SS/TC i ran a 13.9@103 bone stock. Thanks
even the v6 will be slightly slower, but not by much. It is truly a driver's race from a dig. Hyundai has a new flash out already for the v6 models that backs off the traction control a bit. I think this proves that a simple tune would probably do wonders for that car just like the ss/tc.
I've raced the (I'm assuming)V6 several times at the strip and he took several other passes and he was running high 14's and low 15's all night. Was a black coupe. Still had temp tags on it. HA
why do you assume a v6? Im pretty sure the 2.0T is more popular because of its potential and all the modding in magazines are the 2.0
because the 3.8 comes stock with 100 more hp and 50 more tq from the factory and most people aren't smart enough to realize the potential of the 2.0t. All they see is the power difference.
Stock for stock... you'll waste either car.
Modded... the 2.0T's are nasty little *******, with far more potential than the V6. I've been helping a buddy mod one up back in my old city, and it's become quite an impressive car.... to the point where he's hanging with another buddies S2 SRT.

not that it matters at all, but I test drove a v6 last week. Right before I drove the 3.8 genesis I test drove a 370z. The 3.8 I drove was the track version, and I honestly felt like both the Z and the genesis felt damn near identical as far as performance and handling. I think the 370z might have had a tad more top end, but the price was identical for both cars, and you got a lot more car for your money with the genesis. If I was in the market for a rwd car like a z or genesis, I think the genesis would probably have the lead right now.
yes, AMS, BUSCHUR and RHYS MILLEN are the ones leading the way right now for the 2.0t. There are quite a few other vendors making parts, but those 3 prove that there are big name companies getting serious as well.

"The quarter-mile marker flew by at 103 mph in exactly 14.0 seconds"
14.0/103mph in the 1/4.
its geared for luxury..not performance...ride quality and sound dampening..yes it has off the line torque..but it lacks in top end.
Thanks, my friend (maj) ex cobalt owner bought a 2.0T so i have to listen to him rant on about every single thing about it lol
for bolt on performance (as it stands right now) im not really impressed..
ecu upgrade+turbo back+intake people are getting 250 WHP and 290 WTQ. good considering it is under 200 whp stock...but in the big picture (CSRT-4/SSTC/MS3/GXP) it lacks

Hmm!! As my "screen name" shows, I was in the hunt for "another" Ecotec powered car, but I was half-tempted to wait and get the 2.0T Genesis. I'm glad I got the SS/TC, but man GM or somebody needs to get to working on something for this fuel issue and other things. I was thinking about test driving a in 370Z just to see how it feels, along with a G8 GXP.
yes what fuel issue? the one where you cant tune over 400whp because of the time needed in between the injector cycle? Which is the same issue as the MS3 was having... VW's got their DI engines past that issue...so theres a way it just needs to be found.
