lol, I just had a run in with a genesis coupe 2.0t n:

at a red light the guy with his blaring music gunned it, and i continued as I would normally drive the car... mind you this was in a 30mph zone in the middle of a rual town <people walking everywhere like downtown. well, I roll by him get to a left turn and gun it, then into a right turn and gun it to 80 <no more people. The road I gunned it on intersects with the road he was on, a quarter mile after that intersection is a red light. I got up to the red light and stopped and watched in my rear view mirror as he fed onto the road knowing he had the faster route, L M A O when he pulled up next to me with the dumb look. I think he though I was a stock supercharged SS, or the N/A one. I dunno but I've have now only seen two gen coupes in my area, one being a cute girl and the other being a douche.

THe gen coupe is a girls car and a douchebags car, i'm glad I didn't get one. lol.

14.0/103mph in the 1/4.

its geared for luxury..not performance...ride quality and sound dampening..yes it has off the line torque..but it lacks in top end.
and what did edmunds run in the ss/tc? that trap speed is indicative of a 13 second car. It's probably a drivers race with an ss/tc.

PowerAXEL has a decent tuner out for the 2.0T's.

There are a few companies out there already offering upgraded turbo's.
Last I heard there was a GenCoupe owned by one of the vendors that had already cracked 400... can't remember off the top of my head who it was though.

I know of two that have broken the 400rwhp mark on stock block. one blew itself to ****. Most are saying mid 300's are the limit for any real reliability. Still a pretty solid amount for a rwd platform that starts at that low of a price. On top of that, swapping in 4b11t parts shouldn't be an issue.

people still believe that bull? RWD cars haven't been that bad in the snow since the 80's, unless you can't drive. Stick some sand bags in there and maybe some snow tires and you're fine. I drove my 450 ft lbs mach 1 in two michigan winters with blizzaks on it and never even came close to an accident. Should be cake in a 2.0 hyundai with more weight and way less torque.

A gen coupe thread without MEEEE? WTF.

Hyundai has developed a revised tune going in all coupe's because the computer has been cutting too much power while powershifting. From what i've seen times are .2/.3 faster through the quarter mile.

I know, but that is what ive experienced so far! A little hot girl flooring it to cut me off in her white gen coupe with white bug eye glasses, Scion Tc much? and they someone peeling wheels cause he felt he had to next to another turbo car. I really could have gotten the car, I was just being funny. It's not the car but the drivers that I hate.

The thing that REALLY turned me off the gen coupe was the over pricing I was experiencing here. Someone paid 32k$ for the 2.0T track....thats like a 7k$ over price!!!

screw that, I'll get the quicker car for 20k$ just no RWD

yea, back in Omaha, the dealers were marking them up 4-6k depending on if it was a base model or track model.

I don't know if they even have a hyundai dealership here in Germany.

so if I were to get a genesis coupe 2.0t Track, i'd wait a year or two and then grab either a used one or a new one depending if theyre still marking them up.

Yea, every place is going to be different. Depending on how crazy you are going to get with the mods should be part of your decision to buy new or not. If I was going to get the v6 and do mild things like intake/exhaust/suspension/wheels, then I'd buy it new and get the 100,000mile warranty, but if I was going to get the 2.0t and go nuts with it, then I'd probably wait and get a used one this time next year.

Wasn't the one that blew up spraying nitrous as well?
Geez... I've got to get back on the GC forums and see what's happening with the 4b11.

i don't think so. It actually didn't break 400whp. It made like 380 on the dyno then blew on the street just cruising.
