2nd time at the track

I went back to the track a second time with my new downpipe and air filter to see what I could do. I ran a 14.02 @ 106.9. Slow time but I gained 3mph trap speed. I had a horrible 60 foot time of 2.42. I was running the stock tires with 20psi and launching around 2000rpm but I still spun like mad off the line. I still need to learn how to launch and I'm pretty sure it's time for new tires.

Thats a pretty good time. MPH is def nice. I ran a 13.7@104 bone stock. Your mph spanked mine.

Yeah but you were stock and I have a 3in catless dp and K&N air filter. I should be able to run much faster times. Do you race in Napierville?

Just focus on your 60 foot boss. Get that down to a 2.0-2.1 and you will be mid to low 13's

I went to the track agian tonight and I couldn't get better then a 2.33 60' time to save my life... I even deflated my tires down to 12psi and I think that made traction worse because i seemed to spin more off the line.

How do other poeple launch there cars?

Dont worry , at Napierville, during the week, i never been able to pull nice 60'

2.3 at best, and some worst track condition i even did 2.4 2.5, and some 2.6 lol

You really want to go in week-end only if you want to get good times.

last time i went during the week with the tune, i got 14.004 @ 109mph... with a 2.45 60'
no traction what so ever in 2nd.

Last weekend, 2.1 60' 13.240@109, and pulled a lot of 110s and 111s mph.

They only prep the track during weekend.

You can leave the tires at 22 psi.

Wow that makes me feel a lot better!! Maybe I don't completely suck at launching haha. I ran 9 passes last night and managed 8 2.4** and one 2.33.

I'll go one of these weekends and see how I do. It's soo discouraging to not being able to break into the 13's. Thanks for all the support guys I can't wait to run the track on a weekend!

With stock tires.. just taking off like at a light might be better. If you had some radials.. preload your suspension and launch that way.
