4.05 FD or 3.82 FD for cobalt ss?

hey everyone, im about to replace my transmission but i wanted to know if it would be better to go with a 4.05 FD or 3.82 FD when it comes to drag racing? im still trying to understand the gearing ratio difference but just want to be sure before i go and buy a 4.05 transmission. im not worried about gas or anything else, just want to know what would be better for the 1/4mile. from what i have read, the 4.05 puts less stress on the gears? correct me if im wrong though. thanks for any help/suggestions.

run 15"s. if you don't want to then get a 16". much better tire choices for those sizes. if you're buying a transmission based on which one will perform better at the track, why skimp out and not buy the proper tire to go with it?

You could always go lsj brakes and sell the brembos. The lsj stuff is fine for the strip.

i like my brembo's lol. i dont know if its worth all that to fit better tires, i mean i want nice tires to run with but without taking off the brembo's. im not THAT serious about racing the cobalt. i have a 72 nova that is for that purpose lol.

if you're not "that" serious about racing it, then why stick with the brembos? unless you like braking late in traffic or something, theres no need for them then.
