only ran the cobalt once so far this year. it was 85 degrees out and humid. went 13.0 @ 111.6 had a 2.17 60 foot. i was running footballs in the rear and chains up front. 21 psi in front tires and 50 psi in the rear. launch at 2500rpm while riding the clutch out. shift at 6500 and nls 2nd to third. finish in third at redline going thru the traps. i'm on the stock bald conti's. gonna go back one more time in sept. or oct. when its cooler out.

be careful lowering the pressure in street tires. i would say 24-26psi is good. eventually you'll reach a point where the tire will start to buckle inwards and you'll no longer be running on the entire tread but instead you'll just be running on the outside of the tread and the center won't even make contact on the surface

I am gonna be getting the gms1 and catted downpipe and suspension and front tires here in the next month or 2, and i will use the techniques some of you used to get the best times and hopefully i can get into the real low 13's.......

i would say that it depends on the tune. an aggressive tune should yield 12.9-13.1 i would say.

this whole time i thought all 08+ cars had lsd, but apparently not. Checked the options code in the trunk and they are in alphabetical order, and No G85

gonna be harder to put the power down without it, and all the fastest guys have it of course...damn it man

My best so far is 13.5 at 104 taking off like if i was at a stop light, last weekend i went back with ottp rotated mounts and other little things and my best was 13.7 at 108 i was dumping the clutch because i was grudging a 300zx and it was really hott!
Hopefully when it gets cooler ill put the footballs and get some hoosiers then try for a low 13s. Is that respectable?

Just had mine at the track for the first time. ran a 14.1 with a 2.3 60'. 30psi tire pressure. nls through all gears and shifted to 4th and let it pull at the end. launched at 3000 and shifted at 6000 and at 5800 to 4th. air was junk so it wasnt running to great. mods are hahn cai and zzp intercooler and stock tune. tires are blizzaks that came on it. hooks up pretty good for street tires. with some work on my launches itll be high 13s no problem. this was my first time ever running at the dragstrip. I race dirt track sprint cars all summer so this was all new to me!
