buring out be4 a street race

wondering if doing a good peel out b4 a street race helps out? what the point of the peel out, would my street tires benefit from it? how long should the peel out be? should they smoke or not?

Your not going to be doing anything doing a burnout with stock tires, stock tires arent going to warm up or become sticky to hook, get some drag-radials or slicks which are used for burning out before runing to heat them up so they become sticky to hook up.

i beat that 5.0 b/c it was running on less than 8 cyls...and he had a transmission prob, and the eclipses i beat fo real, i dont know whats wrond with them, but i beat them, i beat them by a febder though....all my friends make fun of them b/c they lost to me...and the elcipses are stock, except the GS-T has a big as **** front mount intercooler, on a stock turbo, running stock boost, so his turbo cant pick it up...so he's slow...and the GSX, something is wrong with it, he said he doesnt know whats up with it, but that it need to be taken to the shop, but i beat them and thats all that matters no?

K keep telling yourself that, i mean you might break traction in your ls so you gotta roast em.

gotcha, was just wondering what was up with that.

Yes, it was a win, but i wouldnt post it around because all the cars you just described had major problems affecting performance.

to answer your question, burning out is not going to help you, your ricer freinds may tell you otherwise

btw what are you doing racing an LS cobalt?

Ok and what does burning out and breaking stock axles have to do with anything, there like a freaking tooth pick, wheel hop kills axles anyway. Burning out with stock tires will not do ****.

the civic may have had drag radials on, then yes him buring out would be affective

but i doubt he did, and he just wanted to spin tires

lol true true but there was NO wheel hop when he did it and i dontknow how he broke it... i think if he would have done a burnout it maybe have helped because he did a small one on his first run and broke it onhis second run after not doing it

That makes no sense, dead hooking can break a axle too, so if what your saying that doing a burnout helps for traction, and heats up stock tires he would have blown out the axles the first run when he did one, and not the second run when he didnt do a burnout, come on now.

im not posting it showing off...its just there, i update that damn list after every race...to keep a record of my accomplishments, and about racing a Ls cobalt...its better than racing with a civic/sentra/camry/u get the point, i like the way the balt looks, but i couldnt afford the SS, i was 16 when i got the car, im lucky i could afford a new car to begin with...besides the Ls isnt all that slow, its fast enough to keep ricers of my ass
