Drop enough money into anything just about and it can be fast as ****... what exactly is your point ? Perfect example is Rod, as you already mentioned. Obviously it's all about the $$$.

Buy a used Civic (88-00 typically the most common models to buy for a swap)- free-$3,000 depending on year and condition.
B16/B18/H22 (or K-series if you have a little more money to spend) swap- $3,000-$5,000.
Turbo kit- $4,000 (and thats for a pricey kit)
Final price/outcome: $12,000 (and thats using extreme examples) for a car capable of running 11's-12's. Ya just can't beat that.

what defines a "wanna be SS"? Ooooh, your so big and bad. An SS/SC a whopping 32 more hp from the factory than a 2.4SS does.
I mean if you wanna get technical, back in the day, the "SS" badge was worn by the models with bigger displacement......
I mean i'll agree that an SS/SC is a faster car than a 2.4SS hands down.....but I respect and like both cars equally.

Thats NOT impressive. 470 HP on a turbo out of a mustang is not that great. You have that civic run a tt cobra putting out 700+ horses and see who wins.
470 horses out of a turbo sounds like poor tuning too me.... Unless the engine is a ticking bomb, which if that is the case the mustang has a poor build.
NTM, that same mustang could probly run a simple 50 shot and beat the civic.
Did I mention most stock 03-04 cobra's run 420 ish horses? Ill bet that civic is boosting a hell of a lot more than the mustang.
