Clutch slip question??

Ok guys, took my '08 SS/TC to a test and tune this weekend for the first time since I bought the car. All it has for upgrades is a superchips tune. The track was prepped very well, and this is what I experienced. Made 2 passes, first was launched at 3000rpm and the 2nd was from about 2000rpm, no TC for either pass. Both times, the tires squealed off the line briefly and then caught so the rpm dropped, only right after they caught, the car revved to about 6000...I believe the clutch was slipping as I didn't get the tire spin feel, however, once hitting 2nd, everything was fine, no slip or anything, pulled fine through the traps at 104 mph. Has anyone else experienced this? Usually in my experience it's the upper gears that start to slip first...but thought I'd ask anyways...the car has 102k miles on it.

If it is my clutch slipping, can anyone recommend a good clutch?

Thanks for any help/insight/replies.

Put your superchips flame suit on. Go for the gmpp clutch.

Superchips tune???
It doesnt sound like your clutch slipped though. 104 trap doesnt sound like a slipping clutch plus most of our cars use boost reduction in first gear so it should be more likely to slip in second. Maybe your not used to how fast first gear goes by at wot it doesnt last long.

I don't know anyone local that could help out with an hptuners tune, so I figured it would do until I got more upgrades that deserve a better tune lol

Superchips flash doesn't reduce boost in 1st, I'm still seeing 21 psi in all gears.

That might be why then 21psi is usless in first gear unless you got slicks its probaly just spinning to the moon
