who'd win from a dig - the cobalt 2.4 (stock) or a G6 GTP that has an auto tranny
what about a 40 mph roll?

what bolt-ons would make the racer closer/give me a slight advantage- i was thiking an i/h setup

 

im sure the gtp would win if you are stock, if you got header intake exhaust lighter rims then maybe you might beat him

 

GTP I think. Despite it's heavy weight, it has so much more power that it would outmuscle you. It would be somewhat close though.

 

the 2.4 would deff. get walked considering a stock GTP is a little faster than an SS/SC according to all my mags.

 

Cobalt Auto vs GTP Auto... I'd call a tie... I made 3 1/8th mile runs against a 6-speed GTP yesterday.... they're fast... but not that fast... she had me by 3-4 tenth's of a second all the time. Slap an auto on the GTP and it should be a driver's race... as much as auto vs auto can be called a driver's race...

 

GTP would own, i would be scared to race one in my SS/SC

are friends gtp 6 speed runs 15 flat no mods and is 220 who 220 wtq if that helps any ive yet to race a SS non s/c so i couldnt tell ya bro

Re-read you mags, a GTP runs a 15 flat like cvenom said and i think i have read they do a 6.7 0-60 or something close to that, we have nearly the same power stock but we weigh a good amount less so a ss/sc would beat them for sure.

 

Since you specifically mention the GTP has an auto and don't say what the Cobalt has--I think the Coblat is a 5 speed. Correct? Okay lets keep going.

Test have shown the GTP witha 6 speed to be a high 14 sec car. They also weigh in between 3500 and 3600 lbs.

About 700lbs more then a Cobalt 2.4L SS.

Car and Driver tested Malibu Maxx SS--they are all autos and weight is close ot the G6 GTP.
15.3 in the 1/4 mile. I have done a 15.4 witha crappy 60ft time and some one else did a 15.2.

So I think I a 5 speed could take a auto GTP but not by much.

 

Don't be a wuss dimeo09... SS/SC vs GTP 6-speed should be fairly even.... or are you telling me that I can keep with a SS/SC on the track?

I don't think so. Looks like the SS/SC and RL both MURDERED that G6 GTP... Everytime.

 

how do you figure? I cited a Malibu Maxx SS that ran a 15.3. And 2.4L SS cars that are aster or only 0.1 sec behind.

 

thank you, i was trying to find that to shut everyone up that was saying it was a even race. The Cobalt did have a CAI, but even if he wouldnt have, he still would have won.

5-speed 2.4 vs Auto GTP.... very close... depends on how good with the launch the SS driver is.

 

i will because i am 99% sure its a little faster than an ss/sc( as far as their testing goes which is usually better than what a normal person can) Trust me thats all i do for 7 hours in a little place i like to call prison. Magazines get me through the day without killing a couple of teachers.

 

Alocal G6 GTP Auto owner ran consistant 14.8@91.5 MPH completely stock, being an owner of a 2.4l 5spd I have to admit that the G6 would take me every time, the good thing is that the SS is the wife's car, I get to drive the faster car
