Drag Racing tips
Hey I'm sure this has already been asked but I'm to lazy to look for it.
The track here is about to reopen (closed for 2 yrs) But I have never drag raced before. So what's a good rpm I need to be launching from? and good launching,1/8,1/4 times.
I live in Amarillo Tx. So I am above sea level.
Thanks in Advance
bump. anyone?,advice?

launch low, I launch about 2Krpms, I also quick slip the clutch. I pull 2.2 60ft.s with massive wheel hop. I recently put tranny mounts in and the wheel hop is gone. If you would like to do yours the same way I did mine, just go to the hardware store and buy a bottle of PL premium. It's in the cauking section. Take your front and rear mounts out, fill them with the polyurethane, let them sit for 24 hours. then reinstall them and no more wheel hop. Be easy on the 1-2 shift, I thought I was experiencing clutch slippage but I found out that it's the tq management that causes a slip-like feel. That can realy hurt your e.t. other than that, a quick slip outta the hole, and an easy 1-2 shift and then a fast hard 2-3 and maybe 3-4 and you will run a great time!
