IMHO it'd be a drivers race with the s2k's rwd advantage up until the end of the quarter mile. That is, unless the Cobalt owner can really launch his car, has DRs, or an even smaller pulley.

Most s2k's stock run about 13.8-14.0 if they get about a 2.0 0-60 foot time(which is considered about the best you can do stock with stock tires). They trap 99-101 stock. Years don't matter too much with s2000's since 00-03 and 04-09's have their tradeoffs which make it about even.

After the 1/4 mile, the Cobalt should start pulling up top.

Another thing is, is that half of the s2k guys can't drive worth ****. Its a hard car to launch. I usually launch at 6-7k and feather the clutch.

well i had 236whp/211twq b4 i got my full exhaust. And most stock s2ks put down 190-200whp/140-150wtq. we would run a 40roll and a dig. im almost a 100% sure i will absolutely destroy him from a roll but idk about from a dig.

hes not a very good driver (he thinks power shifting helps him gain power) and i'd say im now a good driver

well said.

people see RWD and assume its going to tear out of the hole. s2k's are not easy cars to launch (lack or torkles will do that) thus you have to launch them HIGH in the rpm to get them to move at all.

the typical cobalt owner assumes the more power the better. im done trying to help people see the light on fast track times

Stu u know alot about driving. my friend seems to think double clutching is when u leaving ur foot on the gas as u shift. And wat i have learned is that is a downshifting technique right?
but isnt speed shifting/powershifting when u leave ur foot on the gas as u shift?

its not necessarily more power and i understand that. power means nothing if you cant hook up. how well does your ice box work? i've been up and down on this idea.

your friend is a tard. not lifting your foot off the throttle while you shift is called powershifting.
