Finally time to hit the track with the mods.

Well its been a few years since i hit the tack. Was chasing a knock issue etc…. Now its all good. Running a 2.6, meth, exhaust no cat, and all the other stuff in the sig. Gonna have to relearn how to launch with the increase in power and torque. I only have my dd tires no slicks or DR's. Cooper zeon ZPT's. Looked at the thread on how to drag cobalts studied it so will try that stuff. Any other advice?

Ideally. Low 13's but that will be a challenge on street tires. But in the 13's for sure.

Well did not go well. Really having issues launching. Spinning and wheel hopping in 1st, spinning in second kept trying to adjust launch Rpm, pedaling etc.., Humidity was near 90%, the track had just had the first 300' scraped! Need to figure out how to launch I know it has mid-low 13's in it. Gotta find me a nice country road and practice launches. Any thoughts, should I preload using the ebrake etc...?

you shouldnt have to pre load at all. get your self some trans mounts to help that wheel hop and then get some pee wee footballs or something and put them in your rear springs so the weight stays up front. then also air the front tires down a bit and add some air in the rear. and then you should be good to go. you want to slip the clutch slightly when launching as well.

hmm and you still had wheel hop? try a motor mount as well. i know the SS/SC they love to wheel hop lol. but yeah my tuner had an SS/SC on a 2.8 pulley with 42#, heat exchanger, intake, exhaust and dp and ran a 13.2 @ 108 with street tires, but he did the football thing

Stock motor mount is fine.

Better tires, and springs and or footballs in the rear should help a bit.

2.2 60' isn't that bad, I'm surprised your time was so slow. How's your shifting?

^^ I was gonna say the same thing, look at your previous run. you ran 2.2 60 also...
I think you got other problems...shifting too early?

the 60 isn't that bad to net you a 14.7

Finally time to hit the track with the mods.

I did put in progress springs a couple days before event. Going down the track spinning in second. I do need to work on power shifting for sure. Basically need to relearn my car.

I didn't know you ran a decent 60ft like that. My M62 set up which is almost identical to yours I ran a 13.6@105 with a 2.2 60ft. I know conditions weren't good for power but you should have had a lower time than that then with a 2.2.

MPH seems right for a low 14. 13s would be around the +/- 105 mph
