First night at the track...

First run was EMBARASSING, was the first time ive really launched this car... i missed the powerband then doubleclutched it into a heinous wheel hopping sensation.

R/t.237
60-3.022
1/4-16.00

Second- i got my **** right, still need some practice but ALOT better.

R/t.306
60-2.35
1/4-14.81

Third-OK i babied the clutch WAYYYYYYY too much, cant wait to go back already.

R/t.230
60-2.46
1/4-14.92

WEll thats it, let me know what you think. Next time ill probably do better, just need practice. Really dont launch hardcore on the track much, thats about to change .

not bad, def a MUCH better 60ft on the second run. some advice though, when learning to launch your car, don't worry too much about the light, ur R/T has nothing to do with your ET, watch your 60ft times though, they are the true indicator of how well you are launching. once you get those down you can worry about cutting good lights

I can cut the lights, the hard part is just launching this car right. Really could use some slicks .

learn how to launch without the slicks then move to slicks ... dont want to be breaking parts now

I was racing around the streets in my ss/sc, and my buddy who has a sti. No matter how well you launch, it's not going to lanuch like a AWD, but I noticed when i launched perfect, within a couple of seconds, i was right up there with him for the first 8 secs, then his turbo kicked in, ofcourse the STI is faster, haha. I'll get him one day, like when i steal one of his tires or something. Anyone do slight mods to get it around the STI times?

Ha hey whats up man. I was the guy that was talking to you throughout the night with the blue Redline. I was wondering how you did on that last run. For your launching, hold it at 3000 and let off the clutch really slow then when you feel it grab, floor it. Thats what i did on my last run and got a 2.1 60' and embarrassed the srt4 i was running against.

^^^ Yes it does. I'd like to practice, but I'm scared to go back until I eliminate wheel hop. My first run on the track ended at the 60ft mark with a snapped axle!

Good runs though, CobaltBurst!

Engine Mounts, Stiffer Suspension, slipping the clutch.
