Exclamation First Time out with my 2.2 auto

16.73@83.51mph...

only power mods are intake...

not bad for an almost stock, 2.2l, automatic i guess

i had a horrible launch and reaction (.99) the first time, but that ended up being my fastest time

2nd run had a reaction time of .71xx and i finished with a 16.86...idk what happended there.

but there it is, ill upload my time slips to BadSS for the 1/4 mile times...

reaction typically doesn't count towards your time unless you're bracket racing. the time doesn't start till you cross the beam. you can wait 5 seconds and run the same time. just as a heads up.

Congrats on the times! But I do hope you realize reaction time has no effect on your final ET right? Not trying to be an ass...

EDIT: ^^Beat me to it

What needs to be checked is the 60' time...generally the lower that is, the better your overall ET will be.

not much that can be done as far as getting down the 60 foots with a pretty much stock auto 2.2. can get them down minimally, but nothing significant without adding more power.

i have ebay CAI, Catback, and trifecta tune and im auto 2.2 and i do about 16.4 87 mph i think the time slip was. idk if cause im auto or im launching wrong. the both times i hit the drag i started in L cause i know when you start in D and skid tires sometimes, the car drops into low traction and lose power for a lil bit.
i feel that i get a better launch in L but i could be wrong. im on stock wheels and i dont take out back seats or spare tire. also had blankets and misc crap in the back cause i just drove up from a long trip.

Im soon installing a catback but i ran into a few snags with the ss dp. and im trying to get the 2.4 intake mani but thats over if wifey is pregnant. actually any mods are over if she is...

idk what was wrong. it seemed i accelerated pretty good. it was however my first time so my launch could be a big problem. what is the best way to launch? should i keep playing with L for the launch or stay in D and just let it ride?
