Front end limit straps

Anyone running any? Any idea how long we would need to get them? Any results, negative or positive? I am considering picking up a set, but don't want to out the money for the wrong size or for something that doesn't really work too well.

looks like just 5 links of 3/8" chain link. how exactly are you putting them on though? because it looks almost impossible with the tire on there. but if you took the tire off the spring wouldn't be at normal ride height. do you take the wheel off and lower the rotor onto some 2x4 or what?

It is five links, do not have to pull off tires, it just fits. And it is just short enough to where you have to have someone push down on the frontend.

Hmmm, are you running lowering springs? I might have to jump under the car and do some measuring... I found a good deal on some actual Nylon limit straps that i want to try.

Old thread revival. Getting ready to do something like this myself. Something that I noticed, even if you give this a good amount of play, wouldn't it effect the steering, limiting how far you can turn the wheel? I've looked at this picture a hundred times, I cant believe I didn't think about that before

I think you would only put them on at the strip and them remove them before you leave. Doesnt seem safe to limit travel on the street.

.

I get that. Even on the strip I'd be worried if something goes wrong and you need to take corrective measures

Put some on and let us know.

I see what you mean about them limiting the turning travel but i think you would still get enough to be safe.
