GM FWD / Cobalt Nationals
^^^ you need to bring your turbo swapped cobalt down and ill show u how its done
besides you know whats going on right now 11's will be cake. ZZP cams show up tomorrow and joes finishing up the head
Ever since I put the turbo on I've been starting to think about the next steps in more power. I just put in SS/TC seats yesterday which were nice. Now I'm gonna have to start setting money aside for a built motor and other goodies. Oh, and up the boost of course.
I would definitely be down and if done in a reasonable amount of time, the whole DGE group could make a trip of it.
I was actually wanting to do a similar event but wanted it to be a domestic sport compact shoot out and invite the SVT focus and SRT neon guys out.

Mark,
Add me to the list..
Also you should put together a "media packet" for the event.. and send them to all of the magazines [GM HTP, Modifed, etc..] most likely you'll get one or two of them that will come out to take pic and write an article on the event.. also send a media packet to GM Media & Marketing - they will most likely set something up to help out.. either a few cars or race cars.. especially if it's GM ONLY related racing event.. they may send the GM/Cadillac race car??

yeah i don't think it's gonna happen. these cars may be cool to us, but to everyone else they're dead. theres just not much interest in it from outside parties. hell even cobalt people..
Don't give up on it man. Plenty of time to work on it and spread word. 1st annual events usually don't fair as well, but get a decent group together and have a good time. Word spreads after the first event. I can bring all my camera gear to get videos and photos and make a clip for following year. Takes time to plan a event like this and the best thing u can do is keep spreading the word and gaining intrest. If u wanna do a all GM FWD....then post on jbody.org,gran prix/grand am sites,etc.... Also now u have the sonic and cruze to invite. Plenty of ppl in Texas and the southwest run GM fwd's. Plus not to far for most midwest states and some getting closer to thr east coast. Also u already have DGE on your side u can look up GMTunersofTexas and so on. Even if u only get 20-30cars this year that's still 20-30 cars that may have never run on the same track at the same time. Just keep a positive attitude and if u need help let me know I'm always down to help.
its just 15hrs lol, look out how far ppl drive for TX2k, DSM shootout, etc.
I understand the distance, im just giving you ****. maybe if this takes off it will be large enough to get host hotels and other things that will make everything better priced and easier
