I am not stock, but I had one on the backstretch of a local track here try to get around me, he was a 50 trim, and he couldnt reel me in. Keep in mind most of these TSI are reaching their time to be put out to pasture... I sure know this one was...

I really wanted to look into one as a project car, but after looking at several beat up ones, I decided to move on. Are there fast TSI's out there, holy sht yeah.... But most around here are all hype and suffer from all sorts of issues. I have yet to run into a TSI owner who was happy with how his car was running. Kind of like my old CJ7 ... lol
considering the car is 18 years old. its impressive. now, a 13.1 isnt very impressive but back in 1992, that would murder a stock Vette.

Even so, it's still pretty quick. Knocking on 12s door with like 3 mods and $100 dollars invested. 100* ambient temperature that day, too...remember, those tiny sidemounts heatsoak easily

Considering the fact that people drool over STi's and Evo's that run 13's all day long... and cost 10x's more. I'd say its still rather impressive.

But, as has been said 15 times now... not everyone takes care of their DSM. Most people don't even know what they are doing... they just throw on a big turbo, plug in an SAFC to add 15% more fuel, and think that's good enough.

Here's mine:

Previous owner was a retard, as well. Which is why I will probably have to rebuild the motor a month after purchasing it.

Haha, you werent at Calabogie Ontario in July last year? Same as the one that was trying to run me down. He had some major valve issues though, and thought it was "Cam lope" retardo for sure as well...

Nice choice of beer and college teams though. I worked in Austin for 3 yrs.

No... I bought this thing about a month ago. The previous owner was from Saginaw, MI though. But the car supposedly say for a while before he sold it.

I hope to live in Austin shortly. I'm originally from Tejas.

Here is my old DSM baby since were on the subject:

One of only a handful First Gen's that was succesfully converted from a Non-Turbo to a Turbo by me

She needed some more tuning and I was about to get a DSM Link but I decided to sell her (school was too expensive). With a tune and the mods I had I would of ran low 13's. But because of a shitty tune (always hitting fuel cut at the top of 3rd) I barely mustered low 14's

You own a 2.2 right? If so, I'll take the TSi in a slaughter.
