look at this old slip i have vs. Un-Named Member's posted slip. why did mine get faster on the second half of the track? was it me driving good, or the car? what are you guys' thoughts on this?
*i had (at the time) a 2.9" zzp, 42s, AEM CAI, and custom 2.5" magnaflow catback.
*Un-Named Member had: Fujita CAI - GM Stage 2 - 2.8" Pulley - GMPP Exhaust Manifold - XTC 2.5" DownPipe - GMPP Performance Cat-Back - Ingall's ETD - Intense Solid Tranny Mounts

Probably due to the weather. Heat plus a headwind could do it. Of course there are probably other explainations as well, but thats my best guess.

By the 1/8th you already had more speed even with a worse 60.

i'll say that my slip is from march, and this other one is very recent.

but i agree, i was already goin faster early, i just had to catch up, right?

he is from the south, i'm from jersey. those are all the facts.

and i had mods that were not as good.
i guess it was the 30*F+ difference?

what do you think i could do with a good 60'? even running 13.6 i have terrible 60' times.. (2.317 )

thats usually how it is. spinning = inflated trap. there are so many factors that could have this outcome to say it was one thing or the other.

Un-named member will probably be checking this thread out. he is on alot, and if he chooses to post, his identity will be revealed, as his mods are listed in the sig.
*this is a heads up to the cobalt onwner who's identity i have chosen to conceal.

so many factors.
tracks are almost like a dyno. its hard to compare unless you do it at the same time, on the same track.

Ive had times where i hit 2.1 60ft, trap at 103, and run 14.0
ive had times the next week, on the same track, 2.1 60ft trap at 99, and run 14.0

*shrug*

my wheel hop and spinning are minimal. do you think i could be driving well, but the boost ramp i have for first gear is messing up my times?

60% i think, Matt @ TTP did what he thought was a good % upon my request.

also, i have NO ETD, motor mounts, or tranny mounts.. who sees me having probs. if i remove this w/o those mods..?

i should wait till i get at least the ETD right?

i guess the reason I'm showing a slip that's close to one of mine, is to really just get some advice.. I want to pull the most out of her before i get the twinscrew.. i'm doin the group buy, it'll be here in like 2 months.. so no rush

I never used boost ramping, and didnt have any sort of mounts or dampener, no lsd and i think my 60ft was a 2.4, 13.6 @ 105 back in the day.

thats really up to you man.

i really dont mean this offensively at all, but i think the last thing it has to do with is driver skill. driver skill is seen in the first half of the track, most anyone can hit a 2-3 shift decently which is all you are having to do after the first 200 feet or so. your car was making more power that day, dont look too far into this

i think last time i heard, you just wanted a nice stage 2 setup w/ supporting mods..

is there really that big of a difference between a 2.8"(60s) and a 2.9"(42s)?

See, you don't know all of the circumstances. He may have messed up his shift into 3rd or it could be the fact that no car runs exactly the same as another. I would talk directly to the guy you are trying to compare with if I were you.

heres a simple answer. you were making more power.

trap speed indicates horsepower.
