Talking just got back from drag racing!

Just got back from Maplegrove raceway. Had a blast and the car did pretty good to. Best run was my first.
R/T .637(shitty I know)
60' 2.342
1/8 10.017 @70.59
1/4 15.524 @89.94

My second best and fastest was my last.
R/T .601
60' 2.426
1/8 10.018@71.68
1/4 15.547@91.40

My r/t was .380 on average for the other 4 runs but my 60' time was very poor as well as my 1/4 time. Overall im happy with it. Cobalt's first and only time going with me. Decided to sell in spring for something rwd.

What kind of Cobalt do you have? Is it stock or do you have mods? Manual or automatic transmission?

Lol I couldn't tell you what I was thinking. It's a 2008 XFE so 5spd with longer final drive. Mods are ss s/c springs, Cai, 2.4 mani, zzp header and dp with highflow, custom catback, trifect tune running on cheap 205/60/15 tires.

You should worry less about your reaction time and more about your 60 footers. I know your tires aren't the best but if you got your 60s in the 2.1 range, you have a 15.0 car. Not bad.

Agreed ..... reaction time means very little in time trials . If you got your 60 foot's down you might be able to squeek into the 14's . You might need the stars to align but it's possible . A 14.9999999999 would be impressive for the fuel economy model.

Thanks, yea i can't say much for the 60ft time. I tried some launches with just dumping the clutch around 2-2.5k. Didn't work out. Also tried feathering the clutch with launches from 1.5k to 3k. Nothing better than the 2.342. The tires just couldn't do it, they just spun like crazy. I'll load two vids to youtube now. Sorry for the delay.
