go with 16's and slicks/et streets/qtp's. You will love it. First time I could actually use 1st gear was awesome!

hmm i could do a 16inch wheel, would 42mm offset clear well enough, I have no idea off the top of my head what the stock offset is, I am planning the Baer 13inch brakes at some point not sure how much offset for caliper clearance they need

with a 16inch wheel I could do something like a 225/50 tire with some sticky ones

i believe its nitto.com.. but if not go on tires.com and read the customer reviews for the tire.. ive had em on my car for about 2 months and i can go full throttle in first gear with very little spin, and almost no wheel spin going into second.. theyre a very affordable mid range all season tire and i would definately buy them again

I have the nitto neo gens on my stock 17s....I actually cant make a "reasonable" comparison because on the stock Dunlop Sp's that were almost bald I would Spin through first at WOT on a roll and some of second...

With the neo gens, I spin a bit at WOT in first on a roll but get a nice grab in second(kinda scaring me b/c I dont want "too much" grip cuz I dont like replacing axles)...taking them to test them on the track soon though if Im not too scared to launch this thing halfway hard outta the hole...

...I love them tho, got them from discount tire for $400 and sum change(cant remember exactly)

"too much" grip doesn't break axles.

I have 17's and am running 245/45-17 hankook ventus on a 17x8 sportmax006(+38 mm offset, stock is +32). Trust me, all they do is pull, no spin at all.

Ill just do the 16inch centerlines, they are less than 15lbs cant beat that in a 16x7 rim i dont think i can go much wider than a 225/50

You could probably go with 235's but 245's need atleast 7.5's.

There is a difference between tread and compound FYI.

I agree. I can cut 2.1 60's on stock wheels and tires.

Just keep practicing

Man you don't have traction problems until you run 14.4 @ 108

wait, hasn't anyone asked his mods?

What are your mods. If you're an SS/SC and completely stock...........what's the problem?

You'll improve your 60' a couple ways if you're stock:

1> MORE POWER!

2> Engine Mounts

3> Better tires

Not to mention none of us know what you drive like, work on your launch.

Other than that, if you're just stock... you do not have MASSIVE traction problems my friend, you have a front wheel drive car with 205 hp and 200lb-ft tq.... upgrade some things first.

Now, if you had 300hp and were only 2.4 sec 60', then you have traction problems. OR you're a shitty driver.
