I don't know what Term has done with torque percentage in 2nd. Hell, I don't know how much he's cut down in 1st! The tuning consisted of him loading the tune, hopping in the car and us blasting all over Florida
I'd be like... that's better....

No that's worse

way better!

oh, I like that. let's try this
new tune...
I think he did like 10 tunes that day until he got the car to where I think it's perfect. I wouldn't touch it again until I put more go fast parts on this spring. But to tell you what all he did? Well, I know it's so linear now. It's not an on/off switch. I can throttle steer it in corners now. It's actually fun to drive. That's all I know.
Our track is 1/8th, not 1/4 and really old and slick. I ran 8.9's with the factory Contis at 23 lbs. I went up there only once with the current tires when they were a week old. Ran an 8.8037@87.02mph. Current tires are 4 Continental ExtremeContact DW 235/40R18 XL 95Y BSW and they were at 25 lbs cold-ish.

Oh, I should add that I've been around circle track all my life, but this is the first summer I've ever tried drag racing. I can't say that I'm good at it.
do you know what percent tq your running in second? From what I hear 50-65% seems best in first, but I'm curious as to what most people run second at. I'll be experimenting a bunch this summer with AutoX coming up (which is all 2nd) but its nice to get a good starting point to work off of.
what tires and size are you on too?

I had my tire pressure around 12psi I think, hit the waterbox. I just turned the traction off and pulled up on the e-brake until it had some good smoke going and rode it out. I used the launch control and just eased out the clutch. First day at the track I had 2.25 60' and ran 14.1 @ 100. I didn't even plan on running so I had some tools and crap (figuratively speaking) in the car. Car is all stock. 2 door 09, Factory LSD, sunroof, Pioneer system.
His car is at 55-60% in 1st and 100% in 2nd. I have the boost ramping in nice and smooth so no massive hit just a nice smooth torque curve. It starts at 22 psi at 3000 RPMs and builds to 24 psi by 4600 and just holds 24 psi as long as possible on the stock turbo. Car is running 0.88 PE lambda and 10-15* of WOT timing.
Big shiny parts?
You are welcome.

I launch around 2.2k-2.3k rpms. Slip clutch slightly and progressive with the pedal in first. When I shift into second I get more wheel spin than first ussually as the boost ramps up then the wheel spin stops around 45 mph. I get more wheel spin normally if I stomp on it from a roll than I do with a 1-2 shift. My best 60' is 2.18 nothing amazing was using summer street tires at the time. Typically most of my launches have been in the 2.2 60' range. Launched with 22 psi in fronts 35 rear.
