guys has anyone with an ss/sc raced a turbo Piece of Trash Cruiser???

 

i think stock for stock the pt woulb win with equal drivers

 

i think ss/sc would win with equal drivers stock vs. stock, i think the pt's a bit heavier than the neon, but havnt raced one personally and i'm not stock anymore...

 

I don't think the PT would win.....

You're stupid. . Why do you have to go talk **** about another car? Grow up. My dad has a base PT Cruiser from when they first came out and I like that car. It's had barely any problems and it's nearing 90,000 miles, in fact, my SS S/C has had more problems and it's at less than 15,000 miles. Trim pieces falling apart, shifter knobs breaking, etc. Think twice before you talk trash about a exceptionally built vehicle.

With some mods installed I would look out.

 

Aren't the PT Turbos automatic only? There is a lady at my work that has one in auto.

EDIT: I just noticed in the post above the one had a 5 speed.

 

with a mopar stage 3, they are a force to be reckoned with haha... aka they would hand me my stage 2 ass with mopar stage 3 probably

 

no stage 2 or 3 on pt's.....

 

Yeah, stock the PT already makes less power than the SRT-4. At least they used to...dunno if they evened it out or not. I don't see one beating the SS/SC without aftermarket help.

Tell your dad how lucky he is. The front end on the PT is weak. I'm seeing more and more of them coming in for safety inspection and the front end falling out. Ball joints, control arm bushings and outer tie rods galore. Not even sway bar links are immune.

 

i don't care about the maintenance regarding this vehicle, i was wondering how they would match up stock for stock. And I'm glad that your dad bought a miniature hearse, but i do feel that they are pieces of trash. The Piece of Trash Cruiser was just an attempt by Chrysler to make a cheap car that would appeal to middle-age people that want to feel like they're driving something "different", or "retro", especially by adding plastic fake wood pieces on the outside of the door. If you don't like this thread then don't post!

I see them in the 14's at the track. I think it will depend on drivers and mods....
