supercharged 2.4 SS vs Saab 9-3
I havent been able to find much information on the automatic 2.4's but friend of mine challenged me to race his Saab 9-3 Vector with a tune, its a LK9 with the slightly larger TD04-14T turbo and a ebay front mount intercooler and a manual trans.
I'm in the process of putting together my SC'ed 2.4 build which will consist of the M62 supercharger on a 2.9 or 2.8 pulley (havent decided yet), frozenboost type100 heat exchanger, bosch 0392022010 IC pump from the SL55 AMG, LNF exhaust cam for the higher lift on the exhaust side, long tube headers w/ 1.75 primaries, zzp 2.5" catback, and a CNC ported head with LNF valves tuned on hptuners. Frankly I have no idea what to expect in terms of power but i would presume over 250whp depending on the pulley size based on what I have seen. Also a bit puzzled as to what this car will run in the 1/4. My MP7A automatic with a stall converter ran 14.6 @ 94 on a 5psi M45 kit with 180hp, full weight, I would expect at least better with the balt. Only other time ive been able to find for an auto cobalt boosted is this 234hp hahn turbo automatic running 13.7 at pittsburgh dragway. 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS 2.4 coupe Turbocharged VVT 1/4 mile trap speeds 0-60 - DragTimes.com
Was just curious what everyone thinks about this matchup and if i should actually put money on it. lol
