turbo solstice

just wondering, on the solstice forum i saw a timeslip that a turbo solstice ran a 8.848 @ 79.55 mph in the 1/8 mile. How does that stack up to most of the ss/sc people on here in the 1/8 mile?

That's interesting. Must have been a factory test car or some sort of custom rig. I wouldn't make any judgements on time just yet, since the turbos are not in production for the public yet and there'd be no way to know what all was done to that car if it's custom and if it's a factory test car, they may not be finished with fine tuning it. (I'm assuming you want to see the difference between the GXP and the SS/SC?)

The turbo you see on the soltice forums is the hahn turbo not G.M., the two soltice turbos they are runnin I think is 290hp and 320hp the G.M. turbo will only be 260hp

an 8.8 is good for 13's in the 1/4 for sure, prolly mid-high 13's.

The guys that twincharged the ION Redline have a Solstice at their shop that they put a turbo on!

I'm thinking of selling my ION Redline next year and getting a SKY Redline when it comes out. I think they look a lot better than the Solstice. I'll try finding pics of the Solstice with a turbo from that one shop.

Yeah, its more expensive base price, but thats because ac and power windows, locks, everything is an add on option for the solstice. Plus, Pontiac dealers will try jacking the price of them. Whats best is that Saturn can't jack the prices because it is against what the company stands for.
