Mine will jerk too, say if I'm in 5th at like 35mph, and I let off the gas, it will jerk real quick like after I let off of the gas to coast. I know it's from being in too high of a gear at a low speed, and that's what your problem might be.

I'm not sure, I have a 2008, but I'm pretty sure VVT wouldn't have much to do with it..

I could be dead wrong, but it will do it quite often in my car.. Just from too high of a gear going too slow and when you coast you're only going slower, so I think maybe the clutch is having a hard time.. Which makes sense because I shouldn't be in 5th going 35mph to begin with.. But sometimes I forget when I'm just coasting and it will jerk and I'll just downshift and be on my way.

I was checking for clutch slippage when i was in 5th. The problem is more appearent when im in a lower gear than what i should have been. normally when im about to upshift or cruising in 4th at 45mph ish.

I haven't felt anything in the last 3 days tho.

then why does my Automatic do it? has nothing to do with your clutch imo
it could be using a higher gear then needed, but if true the Auto Tranmission programming is also set incorrectly

doesnt sound like the clutch, sounds like some kind of misfire...

you might of gotten gas from somewhere with dirty tanks and its clogging your pump and/or filter.

I have a stock LAP and it has over 24k on the clutch...

There is some slack in your drive train. When I'm slowing down and get to about 1400 or so it gives a jerk that's the rpm's getting low enough for the computer to say ok add some fuel. So the tranny bounces off the other side of the gear. But usualy I try to have the clutch pushed in by then but we are all human. Your car is normal.

Not transmission... it's going to be the TPS or some other sensor.

Yes, this is correct.. It's not going to hurt anything though.

lol u need a driver mod... that happens cus ull hit the gas car will want to take off. ur foot comes off the gas pedal... car wants to stop in an instant cus ur in first... your foot cus of inertia slams forward smashes the gas pedal... car tries to take off even faster.. ur foot again comes off... car slows down in like .3 seconds and then well the cycle repeats causing a really ugly jerking action

um no. No where did i mention that im hitting and the gas and letting it go quickly, and than wondering why my car is lurching, but way to jump all over me.

It happens whenYou let off gas regulary (and smoothly) and it doesnt neccesarily jerk from that (i would know what flooring it would do and than letting off), but say going like 6-7 mphs and you roll about 100 feet and the car randomly jerks *NOT STALLING* once or twice and than rolls normal again(while in gear). Its really weird. I either now keep a very slight push on the gas pedal to stop it or i was just push the clutch in and glide and just rev match up if i gots to change but I dont like doing to for accident avoidance.

your cruising in 1st gear @ 6mph?

if your in gear and under 1000 rpms its normal for the car to "jerk"

Sorry to bump an old thread. But I have this same problem in my 2007 G5GT 2.4. In 1st or second, just driving normally, when I shift into 2nd, I'll bounce until I put the throttle down. Seems like slack somewhere. What do you guys think?

Any CELs? Throttle cable has too much slack? I know nothing about the car, but going based on experience with multiple other cars.

From what I've been reading, it's either a tranny mount, motor mount, or Control Arm Bushing.
