alright. i have a POS 2.2 sedan. My clutch is gone. Big thanks to my brother. I'm not having the dealership throw a stock back in it. I have the cash, and I looked at a stage 2 carbon kevlar clutch disc and pressure plate. Has any other 2.2 guys swapped out clutches? I would like to know the outcomes, and roughly how long it took to swap out. Also, it says it adds significant torque, is it true? sry for the noobiness, but my friend is a mechanic and he estimated about 5-6 hrs. I was also wondering if the spec stage 2 mounted exactly or if some fabrication was necessary. thanks.

The clutch doesn't ADD torque, just that it is MORE CAPABLE of holding the power.

 

i posted on ur other post about this basically i replaced my clutch today due to my turbo coming and i need it to hold morepower so i swapped it to a exedy stage one cuz that is all i could find for out car i have a 2.2 as well but coupe. Any way it bolted right up and it just feels torqier cuz it grabs harder and if u found somewhere to buy a stage 2 clutch id really like to know where
