transmission cooler, synthetic tranny fluid, heat treating the axles, upgraded clutch packs (blue plate special), and probably more
its about $200 at most to build the tranny up for 250 horsepower, but its closer to $2000 to build the tranny up to 300hp....of course you'd be building it up to closer to 400hp like halfcent.

Thank you is it possible to swap the transition?
and is it worth it?
The hole point of this is thaat my step brother has a 1500 with a hemi and he is alway talking smack about 4 cylinder cars and I want to beat him bad.
nomater what it takes.

Your stock automatic trans is capable of handling a 250 HP engine without any modification. So your typical turbo kit would be fine. An additional fluid cooler would be good if you plan to race it, but for street use it would not be necessary.
Once you get above that, you need to do some very expensive work, as was hinted at above.

hayden sells all size transmission coolers...thats where i bought mine...it was $30 and is rated for vehicles towing 18000lbs....its somewhere around 5inX15in.
also, the B&M shiftplus will only help marginally on the temperature side, but it will definitely make the car shift faster and extend the life of your clutch packs...plus its a cheap little mod that makes driving the car a lot more fun. i'd say that would be all you need. keep in mind a st2 cobalt can run in the high 13's with a good driver (all autos are good drivers...w00t) and thats about 240hp, so 250hp with an auto should put you around the same area...and if i remember correctly, the 5.8l hemi in the charger r/t puts the car around high 13's as well, and thats a 350+HP motor (i only know the SRT8 HP number...sorry)
so keep in mind, weight plays a big factor in what your racing...how much does your brothers car weight?...post some stats on it.

Ok so I would be ok with a trany cooler and the b@m shift pulse. Would it be wise to get a trany temp gage?
I found the hayden site but how do I buy?
