20's Plus Hard 1-2 shift = Tranny Carnage

Anybody else ever done this? Launch out of 1st, nail 2nd, spin spin spin.. let out and pop followed by some other interesting noises.. Slow down car feels ok, go to take off and more noises followed by vibes and clutch peddle feels really strange.. Stop again and look under the car to find gear oil dripping.. Turns out center diff went kaboom and busted the whole bottom of the case and even in the bell housing and even took out pieces of the pressure plate.. Oh well got another tranny and ordered a gmpp clutch kit

Il get more pics before work..

looks like you got wheel hop and then didnt pull out of it in time before it blew out your bell housing.

It is a result of the transmission not handling abuse/hard driving. There was no "driver error" involved. Im not new too racing or cobalts even for that matter. These trannys arnt known for their strength, Which was to my benefit because a local just happened to have a spare waiting for his to let go and i twisted his arm to sell it. As i stated iv done worse to these transmissions is other cars.. Iv actually been considerably easy on this one in comparison, Guess thats where i screwed up..
