2nd and 3rd gear

This week has been a terrible week for the cobalt, first the drivers door either doesn't want to close after opening it or sometimes when you would like to exit the car, the door doesn't open..dunno what is happening there becuase sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't..

But the reason im posting is I have a problem in 2nd and 3rd gear at just over 4,000rpm the car jolts voilently. I will be accelerating a little harder making the supercharger work and as soon as I hit 4,000rpm in both 2nd and 3rd it does this.

After it jolts/shakes I immediately take my foot off the gas and clutch, however if I try to just rev the engine nothing will happen for a bit until i take it out of gear, shift up and continue driving in 4th.

Does anyone know what this could be???thxs

Sounds like you have a misfire.

Check the spark plugs first, make sure they are properly gapped. Other possibilities include ignition coils and injectors.
