Aggressive Clutch Opinion...

I've never liked how much stock clutches slipped during every day driving and whenever i read that a clutch has "stock drivability" to me it means "I'm gonna slip if you're anywhere but absolutely off the pedal!"

The only real options i've seen are Exedy Hyper Single, Exedy Hyper Twin, ZZP stage 4, Spec Stage 3 and Spec Stage 3+

as for the Hyper twin... I can only find it for sale on the OTTP site and Exedy doesnt even claim to make a Hyper Twin for the cobalts... My buddy has one in his GTO and loves it, the drop in rotating mass netted him 7whp as well...

Hyper twin isn't for 2.0L's... iirc.

Hypersingle is a very strong clutch... very "manly".

The exedy Hyper Single, thier stage 3, sounds like a good clutch for you. It makes the car a challange to drive smoothly, the engagement is harsh and quick.

The stage 4 will handle most anything that you can throw at it. We only use ceramic discs in our stage 4 and 4plus setups.

I've been running a SPEC Stage 2+ rated at 437 tq for 20k miles on the LW flywheel. No issues once properly bled. No slippage at my ~360whp/~410wtq tune.

I have bad knees and wanted one that will hold without killing me on a DD in traffic. It fills the bill. IDK how it is on the stock FW though, I know some dowel pin holes need to be machined out to 12mm on the stock FW if you choose to go that route. They may have revised it since last winter though.

Meh.. GM stage clutch is nice and holds well past anything I'll be making.. I think like 350WHP or so.

GM stage clutch, LNF TOB, new stock flywheel = Ready to rock!!

Lightened flywheel is a monster no-no.
