Anyone ever drilled their polyurethane trans. mounts?

I was thinking about my poly trans. mounts. The car vibrates....alot. Almost annoying when I sit with the a/c on, let alone at idle. I feel they're shaking my interior apart, but I love the no-wheel hop part of it. So here's my thinking....

My previous car was a 2003 Cav LS sport. I installed same style poly trans bushings, but these had 5 holes drilled in them around then center of the mount perfectly. Not bad vibes, stopped what little wheel hop I was having with 145 hp, and tightened up the shifter a bit. So if I take the current solid mounts I have, and drill 5 holes around the center perfectly, would that lessen the vibes while keeping it somewhat stiff?

Lemme know what you all think....Thanks!

i drilled my first set and it reduced the vibes somewhat but was still annoying.

i have a non drilled set now. long story.

but the vibes do calm down after about 1000 miles.

btw the vibes are less if you add the poly engine mount as well!

#1 key thing is to have ALL the mounts, Turbo Tech Racing Upper and BOTH trans. By only having some mounts, you will have more vibrations, than if you had all of the mounts.

i thought about the same thing but then the vibes died down alot. like it was previously stated just ride them out and everything will be fine but it does help out even more if you get ALL the mounts.

well, my rear transmission mount took a dump..the stock one...so I think I might just slip the aftermarket ones in since I have them all sitting in my trunk...first I have to find out what the hell is going on with my engine at work tomorrow, then on to the mounts maybe Saturday if I'm lucky....I hate putting things off
