Auto Leaking
Auto Leaking
Saw a couple drips on the garage today. Found out my cooling lines are all wet and the subframe or engine cradle (whatever is directly below them) is all wet too.
These prone to leaking? Going to take to dealer..62k miles, tuned though.

the tune shouldnt matter, and if they say anything about it ask them how a non factory tune causes the cooler lines to leak.
havent seen many fittings leak, however where the hose is crimped to the steel line, ive fixed hundreds of those (not all cobalts or even gm, just common failure on everything).

Went in to get it fixed and they told me its not covered under 100k powertrain warranty. WTF
its 2 fittings and 6" of hose and you cant fix it?
Might email Chevy directly and see what they say. Guy at dealership even said Ford covers it but Chevy does not.

id try calling somebody higher up, those lines are required for the transmission to function correctly. if those lines leak out all the fluid the transmission will start to slip and eventually fail, then gm will have the transmission under warrenty
Cause technically if no "harsh" conditions are met then they say it never has to be changed.
honestly, i wouldnt wait till that happens. yes your car is under warrenty, however this could take a while and your warrenty may expire before the tranny fails from low fluid. end result is you could end up with a large bill caused by a simple problem.
