from my own personal experience i would not sure this device. Its never been proven that the shiftplus will improve 1/4 mile time, most people will get the same time either way.

But it has proven itself to me to be damaging to the transmission. I had one on my 2001 Z24 Supercharged cavy. At first it was great, worked like it was supposed to. Then i started to notice that after some hard driving the transmission would shift all crazy. It wouldnt stay in a gear. While cruising at like 25 MPH it would keep jumping up and down in the gears with not change in throttle. As soon as i would turn the shiftplus off the trans wouldnt jump gears. But the shifts would be exremly soft, to the point where it would like 2-3 seconds to change gear completly. After a while of driving the stock firmness came back some, but not like it used to be.

This device does nothing more than increase the line pressure, it over works your transmissions fluid pump and can kill it early.

There is no proven fcases that this device makes your car faster, most people who use it, use it because they are running alot more power than stock and the car needs the higher line pressure to shift the trans in a decent amount of time. If your car is stock or nothing more than bolt ons, this is a waste of money for you.

The 4t40 was also mechanically inferior to the 4t45, especially with boost

The 4t45 was built to handle V6 applications

i have the same set up as you.. honestly it does not take much off your 1/4 it just kicks into gear and avoids that lag.. and with nitrous your already in 3rd or 4th gear when you spray and really with the b&m or with the autotrans interceptor it is a differance from 1st to second and second to third but after that there is no diffrence

well i have the autotrans interceptor so i cant really turn it off.. it's only a pain at low rpms shifting from 1st to second cause then the car really jerks and it kicks.. so i have it on low now.. till i need it but i can feel the diffrence
