Best Clutch for 2007 LSJ

Hi Guys, I know this question has been asked probably a million times and i was looking threw all the thread and i can not find the exact answer i am looking for. I was wondering what is everyone's experience is with different clutches and what they would recommend for me.

I have an 07 cobalt LSJ 320ish WHP

I want something to hold good, cause the stock one clearly does not hold. I usually beat on the car and take it to the track, so I want something to last longer. I also still want it to be daily driver friendly and not to stiff.

I saw people where recommending the GMPP upgrade but CreateEngineDepot is saying its only good to 300hp, so clearly this will not work....unless there is another one i dont know about, if so please post a link because I cant find it for the life of me.

I was also looking at the new KY Clutch the stage 2 looks like it will hold cause its rated to 365ft lbs of torque and i am just under 300 i believe. However, the pressure plate is 2000# and i know the stock one is 1200#. I have know idea if this will make a big difference or not in the feel of the peddle. Does anyone have this one? how does it feel?

If there is anything else you guys recommend please let me know! if so please post a link if you have

Thanks a lot guys!!

GMPP is fine and great for your power level.

clutches are rated to torque not hp. that number, who knows where it came from, is super conservative. the lnf uses this clutch and plenty have held much more power than that

and it will last longer. i wore out a stock clutch after 70 k miles and an act clutch for 30 k

performance doesnt always mean longevity. keep that in mind

Gmpp. Lots of people on lsj turbo set ups and tvs swaps alike all making over 350whp and around the same ftlbs. And most of those people beat on it. Best of both worlds
More torque capacity with a relatively stock feel.

Even lnfs are running them with better than stock results. 400/400 in a few cases.

If I could go back, I would've gotten the GMPP definitely. Didn't know too much about the car when I bought it, and had to get it fixed ASAP since I bought it with a clutch that was really slipping.
Got an ACT kit in now and the only problem I have with it is how heavy the pedal feels compared to a stock or GMPP car.

Yup, right from CED. People either use a stock LSJ or lightweight Fidanza.
