Blue Shifter Piece under Shifter spring that "locks" out reverse

I didn't take a picture of it because I am a moron, but it is a piece that has a huge tab that locks out reverse unless you pull the lockout ring up, so now the shifter can travel. Mine is broken to ****.

Can I buy the little plastic piece, or do I need a whole shifter?

Mine was worn away. You don't need it.

Plenty of cars have reverse in the same position without a reverse lock out.

If you don't have the lockout working, don't you have to hunt for 5th?

Nope. I was always under the impression you needed it but after adjusting my sts it doesn't even get near the stop.

Yeah I re-adjusted the shifter and I don't have to hunt for 5th anymore. The lockout ring just clicks when I move into 1-2 range because of the damn broken plastic and the spring pops on it. ughhhhhhhhhhh

Order a short throw. I love mine and haven't noticed a downside.

Easier to say I'm sorry than it is to ask permission.

How is the BPS short throw shifter? I like the stock one but want some input on a good short throw for a decent price...
