i had the OTTP mounts on my car and i broke the part where it screws into the bell housing on the front mount. it happened friday when i went to the drag strip. the car still runs fine. just kinda jimmy rigged it back together.

 

How does that happen??

no slicks. and no NLS. i had tires with 4/32s on the tires when i did this. track prep was very good that night tho.

 

Makes me wonder if the housing cracked upon install. IDK.

 

i dunno. no way to tell really... the dealership did have it out just last week.

 

If they ran the bolt in with a zip gun I could see it cracking if it wasn't lined up right. Why would only one place break out if the mount was stressed on launch? I would think both would. Anyway, no way to prove it I guess.
