it's one of those "while im in there" things that got me in trouble with this car. if it breaks make it stronger.

We are looking into stronger gears but they will be costly. Right now we can rebuild f35's and have them cryoed while they're apart. We are also looking into mikronite...

Yes, the SS/TC spools fast... but in the battle of Time-To-Torque, the S/C will always win.

Either way, the TC is hitting MORE torque. I was just trying not to pass the curse on to you guys.

If you want it... it all yours!

Why the hell would you want 4.45 gears? That would effectively make 1st gear useless/pointless.

I have never been able to get anything near the slightest bit of traction in first, ever since I started modding the car, and I don't go to the strip much anymore because everytime I go I always break something So all of my stuff is from 40+ and fourth gear is killing me lol Also, I have a lighter crank and flywheel which the longer 4.05's lug my car down horrifically....now, once I hit like about 4K the car takes off like a rocket, but other than that daily driving, with the A/C on, isn't the greatest thing.

You guys can operate on the F35?

I have two that I need combined to make 1.

The Second Gear Synchro blocker ring in Trans #1 is bad... and Trans #2's diff exploded... so I figure Trans #2 can donate its 2nd gear Synchro to Trans #1.

Could you guys make that happen? If so, PM me with an Estimate please.

...its a little bit more complicated than just buying a new one, iirc. I read in the F35 service manual that it is the width of the output shaft that determines that final drive... but that doesn't seem right.

Either way... it'll be a hell of a lot of work.

Yes... it is. Especially when just about no one has the proper tools to take one apart.

Which is why I had to buy a third transmission instead of getting the parts from #1 & #2 combined to make a good transmission then.

Yeah. I hope you've got the LSD... because the open diff's suck. And don't shift from 3rd to 2nd too hard. Pics are in post #1.

I do have LSD

All my problems are 1-2

Doesn't grind.

It just locks me the **** out.

For no reason, other than I am trying to no lift.

Yeah... 1 to 2... you can't really no-lift shift. There is no fast shifting allowed from 1 to 2.

I get that a lot too. Seems to happen the most when I get a phenomenal launch at the track.

Advertise a car that can NLS

Then put a tranny that won't let you do it.

It really has nothing to do with the "right tools" and everything to do with "competency"
I had a shop install the Quaife in my DD and they had never seen the inside of these tranny's before. When it came to the "special tool" they were to cheap to buy it so they made their own version of it. The transmission worked flawlessly.

Ya I have about half of the special tools, there is no way in hell I was gunna spend the 5k on all of them when they are just not needed.

Also the reason you need an output shaft to change the final drive is because the driving gear for the final drive is part of the shaft.

Mikronite is a surface finishing that improves wear and friction.

don't know if you are having the same problem as I was having but when I was at the track it kept doing the same to me because I was barely pulling up on the reverse lock out mechanism....I just get really excited to shift and stuff hahahahaha maybe this can help you? but that is what is about lol
