No, we don't need one... our trannies are bulletproof in stock form.

Built Shep Trans Interest Thread
it's one of those "while im in there" things that got me in trouble with this car. if it breaks make it stronger.
There is different gearing to take into account as well. The TC's have longer gears... which should put a little bit less strain on the trans.
And Time-to-Torque is faster on the S/C version. If all you ever saw was a stock boost gauge in an SS/SC... then you don't know the true meaning of instant boost.
Yes, the SS/TC spools fast... but in the battle of Time-To-Torque, the S/C will always win.
Either way, the TC is hitting MORE torque. I was just trying not to pass the curse on to you guys.
If you want it... it all yours!
Why the hell would you want 4.45 gears? That would effectively make 1st gear useless/pointless.

I have never been able to get anything near the slightest bit of traction in first, ever since I started modding the car, and I don't go to the strip much anymore because everytime I go I always break something

I have two that I need combined to make 1.
The Second Gear Synchro blocker ring in Trans #1 is bad... and Trans #2's diff exploded... so I figure Trans #2 can donate its 2nd gear Synchro to Trans #1.
Could you guys make that happen? If so, PM me with an Estimate please.

...its a little bit more complicated than just buying a new one, iirc. I read in the F35 service manual that it is the width of the output shaft that determines that final drive... but that doesn't seem right.
Either way... it'll be a hell of a lot of work.

Yes... it is. Especially when just about no one has the proper tools to take one apart.
Which is why I had to buy a third transmission instead of getting the parts from #1 & #2 combined to make a good transmission then.

Yeah... 1 to 2... you can't really no-lift shift. There is no fast shifting allowed from 1 to 2.
I get that a lot too. Seems to happen the most when I get a phenomenal launch at the track.

I had a shop install the Quaife in my DD and they had never seen the inside of these tranny's before. When it came to the "special tool" they were to cheap to buy it so they made their own version of it. The transmission worked flawlessly.
It really has nothing to do with the "right tools" and everything to do with "competency"

Also the reason you need an output shaft to change the final drive is because the driving gear for the final drive is part of the shaft.
Mikronite is a surface finishing that improves wear and friction.
don't know if you are having the same problem as I was having but when I was at the track it kept doing the same to me because I was barely pulling up on the reverse lock out mechanism....I just get really excited to shift and stuff hahahahaha maybe this can help you? but that is what
