i have about 60k on my ss sc.
I have a Zzp s4 clutch and fidenza flywheel
30k on the clutch
I can't seem to get the car into 2nd gear during a pull.
I pull on the shifter and its like there is nothing there.

I've been having issues with 2nd also except mine is when downshifting. Kinda curious to see what the replies are on stretched cables

Its eather that or a clutch problem. I was told to change the master cylinder and rod. I think that could be my problem. Im just wondering cuz i went to the track the other day and had to baby it into 2nd..
Fastest was 14.02@100.5 missing 2nd

If it was a problem with the clutch or master cylinder, wouldn't it show at other times too? Like engagement height, pedal feel, etc.?

You might need to adjust the shifter throw. If its grinding into 2nd it could be the syncro.

Was that directed towards me or tjolley? Lol and mine doesn't grind, it just feels like something is blocking me out of 2nd gear

Its like something is stretched. Cuz i checked the role pin it was fine. So its got to be a stretched shift cable or a really bad syncro...i don't think its a syncro cuz wen u pull hard to shift its like nothing is there

Ok i think i narrowed it down to the linkage or the shifter itself..cuz if u sit with the car off and move the shifter from first to second feels the same..i don't think a syncro will cause the shifter to have to move farther to get in to gear...hmm TWM time i think

I have a TWM and that WON'T fix your problem. My car is doing the EXACT same thing yours is doing. I have never had a car do that to me. All my other gears engage perfectly fine. And no, it doesn't grind. Under normal conditions it goes smooth.

I have the fuse box out right now.
Im gona have to make a tool to get the pin out. It seems to be stuck in there. I also can't hit it hard enough cuz of clearance issues..

We need to find out if it is that adjustable rod that ZZP sells. My transmission is in perfect working order. I should not have this problem either.
