Cluth making a grinding noise
Cluth making a grinding noise
Im not 100% sure its the clutch. but heres the symptoms: when I'm driving at 35 mph or more and I release the gas but im STILL in gear, i hear the noise. the noise stops if i press the clutch in but once i release it the noise starts again. the noise does not occur whatsoever if the car is in neutral.
Ive done google research and everyone gives different responses but a common one is an aftermarket clutch or a lightened flywheel.
what do you guys think?

do you have a lightweight flywheel? if so it can cause some very loud vibration/grind like noises. My stock clutch/flywheel was very quiet. After i switched to an ACT unsprung 6puck and streetlight flywheel it sounds like my transmission is eating itself when not accelerating and in gear(noise when decellerating*). Stock flywheel dampens quite a bit, i wish i had never switched mine

I don't know what the stock/GMPP clutch sounds like or if it makes any noise at all. I've only had ACT clutches when I bought the car.
