Clutch??

Sorry if this is a repost but i am looking for an after market clutch for my 2005 2.2 cobalt.

I have the Fidanza light weight flywheel, and now i want to know what clutch i should get.

Also do have to worry about having problems with my axles or anyhting else after putting in a performance clutch?

If so do they have any performance replacements?

Thanks everyone!

Go with Spec. Best quality and price IMO. Im getting the stage 2+ soon since my stock clutch is slipping running 19 PSI.....lol

get a bulley, since you have a flywheel. or id say goto exedy, which comes with a chomolly flywheel. firdenza weighs 8.5 lbs which is aluminum based, and the exedy is about 11.5 lbs. compared to stock 23 lbs. IMHO, the exedy will grip harder, alum is soft.

....you really dont need a clutch unless you are going turbo on your car or hardcore motor. you car has 50 less HP than a SS/SC and most of the time a new clutch isn't needed until you get in the 250 WHP range. unless the 2.2 comes with a much weaker clutch.

P.S. the exedy comes with a steel flywheel

the cobalt 2.2 has a very weak clutch, as i NEED a new one now. also a performance clutch is good for better launches at the drag strip. also a performance clutch will with stand hard launches and hard driving.

and as for motor work. as soon as tuning comes out i am getting a set of stage 2 cams from comp cams. i already have intake, exhaust, header, downpipe, torque dampener, and soon a pulley.

once i get my cams and tuning, i will want a new clutch then anyway, but i need a new one now. so thats why i am going to replace it.

and that is a link to the 2.0 clutch not the 2.2. the 2.2 does not have the flywheel
