Clutch is gone, not sure why?

i have an 06 ss/sc, have been driving it for 5 months, and over the past three days my clutch has died. it started with random increases in RPMs (as if i had depressed the clutch) right after completing a shift. the next day it became extremely difficult to get the gears to catch and even when they did the car would barely move. by the third day it didnt work at all. i searched the forums, and most of the problems ive read about dont quite sound the same. im thinkin new clutch is needed...? i was thinking about the exedy stage 1, but ive read that a new slave cyl an TOB are needed? are these required? i am financialy screwed at the moment (very large speeding ticket), so cheap is good...

thanks for any help guys.

if youre stock just get the upgraded clutch from exedy. i think its like 225 or 300. slave cylinder and tob are the same for our cars. look up ced for lnf tob. but it is necessary. the random increase in rpms was your clutch slipping. stock clutch sucks

alright, i went with a exedy oem i got off ebay for $230. i got the clutch out, and it was a 4 puck. absolutely no kevlar on it. i bought the car used 4 months ago, so i hope im not that bad a stick... lol

i did however manage to strip 2 of the pressure plate bolts, does anyone know a cheap place to get those? dealer wants $20, which sounds a lil pricey for bots...

also, is any one familiar with Delphi? i have a cat with that brand name on it, cant find anything on the web for it...
