Clutch Issue - Drops (No Resistance) & Cannot Shift - 06' SS/SC

I have a 06 Chevy cobalt ss/sc with 85k miles on it. Tonight I was cruising around and I accidentally hit a dip going faster than I should have. For the next hour the car was acting weird and than all of a sudden my car wouldn't let me shift gears. Also the clutch felt completely different when I push in. Before tonight there was resistance and you would have to apply pressure but once the car wouldn't let me shift, the way the clutch felt was like I could apply a lot less pressure and it easily drops down. I can push the clutch in to let me start the car but when I go to change into 1st gear it will not let me shift into it, as if it was locked into neutral. (or if you were to try and change gears without pushing the clutch in at all)

What could this be? Like I said it only has 85k on it and I am really not that hard on the vehicle. I'm sure it had something to do with the dip because the car did bump the ground when I went through it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

i assume you have done obvious checks like 1. see if there is fluid 2. look for physical damage like a whole or crack in your tranny?

I couldn't see or even spell any fluids coming from the car. Also it was on a very dark street with minimal light so I wasn't able to really look under the car. I had to leave it on that street so I can come back tomorrow in the day.

I was just looking for possible problems so I can prepare myself

Thanks

oh okay. well i would start with some visual checks...you could possibly get your answer there. kind of a different situation but my mom has a pt cruiser (automatic) and she came to a stop and shut off the car. went to put it in gear and it wouldnt. turns out all her fluid leaked out.

I'm almost positive its a hydraulic issue. All signs lead to that. We took a closer look today and there are no fluids leaking. When I would drive the thing, the clutch would never slip. Therefore that leads me to replacing the master & slave cylinders. Im guessing there is an issue with one or both of these parts thats not pumping fluid to the clutch causing the weird pedal issue and etc.

Anyone else have any more input?
