Great News! Clutchmasters redesigned the pressure plate, and they're sneding me a whole new clutch kit! On top of that they are overnighting it to me, and paying for the old one to be returned! They definately have great customer service!

Well I know that i've recently had the CM fx-300 installed and its not right at all, It is extremely difficult to shift and i have to turn the car off to get it in reverse, i'm about to have it taken out and sent to CM I called and they told me to vacuum bleed it and i did and it still won't disengage so they told us to send it back and they'd look at it.

i jsut sent and email to clutchmasters stating that someone on this site had the same problem and that they redesigned the presure plate are overnighting an entire new clutch kit to them(2K5SS/SC?) and they are paying to have the old one returned. I told them that i m tearing apart my tranny and taking the clutch and pressure plate off and that i expect to have the redsigned kit within a couple of days. So i expect them to send me a new one.
My dad is so pissed right now he said hes calling clutch masters on monday and telling them he wants reimbursed for and the trouble we went through cause we changed my tranny in the driveway with jackstands and a floor jack cause my dad is ASE certified and has been a mechanic at goodyear for 20 years so anyone who thinks that we are 2 average joes were not, he knows what he is doing and it didnt exactley take 10 minutes it actually took 2 and a half days and that if they dont then he is gonna post all over the web that their clutchs are garbarge and not to have anyone buy them, its hilarious hes so f-ing mad right now and for once its not cause of me

i just got off the phone with CM and they said the only ones that are rubbing are the ones with the transmission with the G85. They said that you have to vaccum bleed the system, which i did several times but they tell you to pump the clutch when bleeding the system where GM tells you not to. So idk ill go see if i can get this damn thing to work.

same problems with my fx400 6 puck we manual bled and vacuum bled pumping and not...basically never seen so little air in a system.
The pedal engages on the floor and it grind if I try and shift real high. I honestly think the plastic hydraulic lines are flexing and not allowing us enough fluid travel to completely disengage. I'm going to look into getting some lines made.

The grove is in a bad place, it is between the pinion and ring gear portion of the cases, This is the most stressed part of the gearbox and is where you can't afford to sacrifice any regidity.
See my earlier pics in post about pinion gear failures.

i have the FX300 in my car and its hard to get in and out of gear as well, in fact i dropped it off at the dealer to have them fix it this morning...i thoght it was perhaps the shifter assembly itself or something.....its a very "notchy" feeling, unlike my GF's 6spd tib. can someone tell me how to "vaccum bleed" the system? maybe I bled it wrong?
