Clutch job!! What am i doing wrong??
hey guys thanks for reading this, I'm in need of some serious help. let me start from the beginning.
i have a 2010 TC fully built, not by me but another member on here, who i bought it from 6 month ago. The car had a new clutch when i bought it, after about 1100 miles of breaking it in i blew the clutch. so i decided that the SouthBend stg 4 might need an upgrade, to a 4 plus, so wanted to save some money by doing it myself. It took me 2 weeks to get the transmission off the engine due to the mangled clutch and the fact that i only had a few hours here and there. i had to remove the whole engine to work on it. once i got it off it was pretty bad. i order a Southbend stg 4 plus, new TOB from dealer, pipe, screws, and clip. i replace it all within a month and finally get the engine back in. i go to bleed it and i get hissing and a complete drain of clutch fluid over night. so i curse and throw things around for a day then start to open the tranny again. remove the TOB and take it to the dealership, they replace with no issues. so now i have it all back together, and i baby bleed the clutch……..its F..ING leaking again, not as much as before but there is a few drops coming from the bottom of the tranny case….idk what is going on everything is new and i haven't even got the car started, oh yea thats another problem the car won't even clicl or turn over…… anyways has anyone ever ran into this before? Am i doing something wrong? did i miss a piece somewhere? Any help would be awesome since it looks like I'm going to have to take the tranny apart again….
I really want to avoid a 1k plus bill from a shop, so i need some help. thank you guys

You have a sealing issue on the TOB line most likely, check the fitting going into the block on top of the trans and make sure it's 100% perfectly clean and installed right.
As far as the not starting, you didn't re-connect one of the grounds or power wires properly.

so what could be leaking again, i changed that elbow where the bleeder valve is also. is there any gaskets or seals that should be replaced inside of the tranny where the TOB goes on?
Maybe the seal in the elbow isn't on right or the clip didn't fully engage or the block didn't fully seat on the trans.
There are no seals/gaskets inside the trans relating to the TOB, only the pipe attaching to the body of the slave cyl. The TOB mounts right up to the case. Make sure the mounting is clean, that's a thrust surface and if it's got something on there causing the TOB to sit unevenly it will blow them out repeatedly.

I thought I recalled reading that sometimes the precious seal/oring/gasket from the clutch pipe would be left on after removal without realizing it and then upon installation, a new one would be placed over it. This would cause a leak due to the two gaskets.
Yeah but he said he bought a new pipe and elbow, so unless he transferred the old gasket on top of the new one, everything should be correct. I'm betting it's either not seated fully onto the pipe or the TOB not seated properly inside the trans.
I feel like I need to write up the next clutch job I do, it's so simple but the average person just doesn't work clean and thoroughly enough to make it easy. I have a spare trans spacer plate, elbow and some other oddball parts. I start with them perfectly clean like brand new, so while i'm doing the job it doesn't slow me down to clean everything. I ALWAYS get a new clutch pipe and TOB if the trans is coming out, it's too easy to do them then and so much work if you don't. If you can, leave the block attached to the trans until the last possible moment so there's no risk of getting crap in the lines and on the seals. If you plan to not change the pipe or TOB I suggest just disconnecting the line from the block outside, so the whole setup stays with the trans and safe.
Think of this job like a surgery, not a simple hack-up. You have to be clean and careful, align the trans right, make sure everything goes together smoothly. Also, VACUUM BLEED THE SYSTEM. Takes all the guess work out of it, takes no effort, can be done by yourself, doesn't run the risk of overextending the master, has a ton of positive small points. It also happens to be the factory recommended way, they use it for a reason.
Ok i'm tired, hopefully I can me more useful tomorrow.

I apreciate everyones input, i got really frustrated so i took a day off lol. I'm back at it today, i have removed the elbow and it came out with the little o ring. so i cleaned them installed back correctly now I'm manually bleeding it hope its good.
also, on the car not starting situation??? the second time i put it together it turned on just fine. the only things i disconnected this time to re do the job, as far as electrical, was the two transmission sensors and the starter…. i reconnected the two tranny wires, connected the started one and the one behind it, and last i reconnected the power cable with the one coming from the alternator to the starter. so i don't have a clue what it could be. DOES ANYONE HAVE A LIST ON WHAT WIRES I SHOULD TRACE TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE GOOD?? when i open the ignition everything comes on like normal, then i go to start it and nothing, kind of like when you don't press the clutch….where do io check the clutch sensor??

Clutch switch is on the inside of the car under the dash, that's probably not it.
I'd bet you aren't getting good contact at the starter. Also check your fuse box, make sure everything is seated properly.
