Make the mechanic fix it...It actually has the words cast into the pan not to use a jack to support the engine. Fail!

Its just a small little crack nothing majorly huge probably as thin as a sheet of paper. do you guys still think jb weld is a bad idea...

And why should you pay for your mechanic screwing the pooch?

You paid to have a clutch put in, not to have your oil pan broken. He replaces it. Not your problem unless you accept JBWeld as a fix, and it is not a fix.

Very least I would accept is a good used (not cracked) oil pan, and tell him he is lucky you noticed the oil problem before you went out and siezed the motor up.

Some one on the site was selling a bunch of random engine parts. I'm fairly sure there was an oil pan there.

I just checked the FS thread and someone already claimed it.
